My desk this week:
I was hoping to show you all the sympathy cross stitched cards I made last week, however it turns out that the picture file was corrupted and I have no evidence that I made them! Iv'e given them out now, so sadly can't take another picture. Boo!
Currently on my desk is a scrapbook with various designs of the three wise men and Bethlehem sat waiting to be inserted. I've never scrapped before as it's not really my thing, but I have saved so many of these images from Christmas cards over the years that I thought i should document them. I shall add written history of the wise men, their gifts, Bethlehem, hymns and anything else I find that is relevant. I'll be starting another book for all the images of Christmas trees I've also got.
I'm hoping to get back on with the shirt I was making on my day off on Thursday and after two weeks of maniacal stitching, am giving all stitching a break. You may have noticed the new food related cross stitch design book on my desk, so don't hold your breaths!

ReplyDeleteOh no!!! I hate it when that happens, as I like to "document" my work too. When you give everything away, you don't have anything to show your work. Good luck with the scrapping project!

Oh, bad luck with the corrupt pic of all your hard work...sigh..... At least you and the recipients know what you did. But I can understand how you want to do something else and the Three Kings project sounds interesting!

What a lovely idea to scrapbook the cards you have received over the years. Well done you! Making a shirt! That is on my to-do-one-day-when-I-have-no-other-projects-on-the-go list. It is something I have always wanted to make. I used to make all of John's trousers, and once made him a three piece suit - so I shell look forward to seeing your finished shirt.

ReplyDeleteAt least you have the documentation (from the last woyww) that the cards were on their way. Happy scrapping, I'm not a scrapper either, but I agree that some stuff deserves to be stored in a presentable way :)

I have three or four of those style scrapbooks filled with similar stuff....beware, you are on the path to another consuming hobby! I understands he need to break with stitching for a bit, but am guessing it won't be long before you start something you can do at a more leisurely pace!!
