My desk...
This week, I have mostly been making Wiggly bags for a local children's cancer charity. The bags hold Hickman lines and IVs and keep them clean and out of the way by hanging around the recipient's neck from a ribbon strap. I'm on annual leave and got rather carried away - I've nearly made 40 of them. I haven't even started the bead bags I'm making for them yet. It's a great way for me to use up all my scraps that have been sitting around bugging me.
This one is waiting for its ribbon to be machine stitched on.
Not sure what else is on craft-wise this week. All I want to do is loaf about. Housework, decorating and cooking doesn't sound like much fun!
I'll do my best to get back to you if you leave a comment. See you all next week:) x
what great bags, and what a wonderful thing to make!! hope you get time to "play" - the rest of your options don't sound much fun to me either! Helen 8
ReplyDeleteGreat project you have started and it sounds like such a worthwhile cause.

Hi Lucy - the bags are a great idea, and the kids will love them. Your task list looks fine to me (well, except for the housework!) but loafing sounds good, too! Enjoy! Chris # 11
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thing to make for the children!!! I'm sure they will love them! I haven't been too creative the past week and seem to have lost a bit of mojo myself. Hang in there! God bless!

What a great idea. Wow, you say you have made 40 already? Good going. The kids will love them I am sure. #56
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and useful way to use small scraps! (A wiggly bag sounds much nicer than a container for IV:s)
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW! Kristiina #27
A very good reason to use up the scraps and lovely little bags. Have a great week, Angela x 33
